Vampire Life Survival Guide (Roblox): Threats and How to Counter Them
Vampire Life (Roblox) survival essentials: documented threats like stake stabs, neck snaps, sunlight, and the Ghost state, plus the shop gear, free codes, and abilities that counter them.
Quick answer
Vampire Life drops you straight into the action on the dark streets as either a vampire or a hunter clearing the map with stakes, and staying alive comes down to gear and progression: upgrading your arsenal and grabbing new abilities to outlast rival hunters and vampires.
- Recorded threats: other players stabbing with wooden stakes and killing with neck snaps, sunlight igniting vampires, a vampire being unable to enter a church, and a persistent Ghost state after death.
- Recorded responses: shop survival gear — wooden stakes, blood bags, Daylight Rings, stat boosts — funded by Money (including free code rewards), hiding indoors to break pursuit, and update-documented abilities like the witch Pain affliction and the vampire sleep move for AFK XP.
Core survival setup
You can begin a session as a vampire or as a hunter clearing the map with stakes, and infection can transition you into a bloodthirsty creature of the night. Survival is framed around gear and progression — upgrading your arsenal and grabbing new abilities makes all the difference against the rival hunters and vampires playing against you.
Player attacks: wooden stakes and neck snaps
Recorded play shows open player-versus-player killing as the main combat threat. Players stab each other with wooden stakes — one vampire player's complaint, "why do you guys stab me with the wood bro," captures the pattern — and a neck snap can kill a player outright.
Whether you can snap necks is currently inconsistent across recorded play. One player tests it as a human and concludes "I can't snap a neck as a human," while a vampire player in separate footage repeatedly fails to land one mid-fight. The gating condition — form, cooldown, or something else — isn't clear, so test the move in your current form before relying on it. No damage values, health totals, or cooldowns are documented for these kills, so plan fights around gear and escape routes rather than stat math.
Death and the Ghost state
Dying leaves you as a ghost. Recorded play shows one creator switching servers after dying and still being a ghost afterward, so a server switch is not a reliable way out. The same session shows getting back up is possible, but under conditions the player never states, and neither the state's duration nor a deliberate exit is shown. What death costs is equally unresolved — one creator asks on stream whether they lose all their items when they die and never gets an answer. Until that's settled, don't carry anything into a fight you can't afford to lose.
Shelter and evasion
Buildings work as evasion tools. Recorded play shows a pursued player ducking indoors and slipping the chase — "Did I pull a fast one on her? I pulled a fast one on her." Entry isn't free for vampires, though: while playing as a vampire, one creator finds they can't be in a church. The exact entry rule and which buildings are restricted aren't spelled out, so treat church interiors as off-limits while vampiric and use other buildings to break a pursuer's line of sight.
Sunlight and protection options
Sunlight is a live hazard for vampires: mid-session, one player catches fire outdoors and works out why — "why am I on fire... it's sunny." For protection, the shop lists Daylight Rings among its survival gear. A dev-updates recap also describes an addition that gives "protection from the sun and health," but that recap never names which item or ability it is, so it can't be matched to the Daylight Ring. Read shop item descriptions in-game before buying so you know which item actually blocks sun damage.
Money, shop gear, and free codes
Money is Vampire Life's primary currency for upgrading your character and equipment. The shop sells essential survival gear, weapons like wooden stakes, blood bags, Daylight Rings, and crucial stat boosts to outlast rival hunters and vampires — and recorded play confirms shop purchases work in practice, with one player buying a gun and immediately noting "I'm now a werewolf with a gun."
Free Money speeds all of that up. Per a third-party codes guide updated September 24, 2026, the game had 5 active codes at that date, and the best one, THANKS700L, rewards 10K Money plus 15 minutes of Double XP and Double Money boosts. Redeem codes in this order:

Update-documented abilities
A creator's recap of the witches update documents two abilities with clear trade-offs. The witch Pain affliction "goes directly onto the target and mobilizes them" and "continuously drains their life essence," with a higher witch level dealing greater damage. It consumes mana while channeling and, after a certain time, begins to harm the witch herself — powerful yet risky, so line up an exit before casting. For vampires, the B move is a sleep move that helps gain XP as an AFK grind, though the XP goes in a little at a time.
Feeding and blood bags
Feeding shows up as a core vampire activity — early in a vampire session, one creator notes "I need to eat somebody." Blood bags exist as a purchasable backup: the shop list includes them, and recorded play shows a player shopping for one. How hunger or blood levels decay, and what happens when they hit zero, isn't documented, so keep a blood bag on hand rather than testing the limit.
What to recheck after updates
Everything above comes from recorded play and third-party reporting rather than official rules documentation, and hazard, combat, and survival rules can change with any update. Verify in-game after each patch: neck-snap conditions, the church entry rule, which item grants sun protection, death penalties, ghost-state duration and exit, and blood-drain timing.
